Decking Our Halls

Christmas is seriously one of my favourite times of the year. I just love the atmosphere. It's such a time of joy and peace. Celebrating our Redeemers birth. I love it. We always have such a blast decorating our house (or cabin) and listening to Christmas music. Our cabin looks super awesome now and it smells like pine (thanks to an awesome pine scented thing we have). I'm so excited for Christmas and getting to spend it in the US of A!!

Murder Mystery

Carys always seems to have such amazing birthday parties. This year it was a murder mystery party set in the 1920's. It was so fun to dress up!! I had the hairdresser do my hair and it looked so legit! It was crazy. Everybody looked amazing. It was such a fun evening. Happy 18th Carys!

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is such a great day. Being thankful is such a great thing and I love that we have a whole day dedicated to being thankful. At lunch we had our traditional hand decorating and then on the back we wrote what we were thankful for that year. Dinner was delicious and we had a lot of laughs. No thanksgiving is complete without Mum's typical mid-eating face.

Out To Obamas

This past week the Academy have been so blessed to have a guidance counselor come and help the older students with looking at/applying for university. With her she brought two seniors to help us out and to do some work experience. These girls are just such a ray of sunshine!! In the five days that I've known these girls I can truly say that I love them to pieces. It was short visit but I'm sure we will be seeing these lovely faces again. A few of us decided to go out to eat at Obama (yes, that is a name of a restaurant). I hadn't been there before but it was really nice. The evening breeze was so cooling and the sunset was breathtaking. Such a great evening. Such great people.

Girl's Spa Party

I had the privilege of helping out at a little girl's birthday party. It was a lot of fun!! The theme was a spa night, so I got to help out with painting nails, doing hair and makeup, and making face masks. These girls are so precious and the evening was a blast. To top it all off, I got to have a cinnamon roll in the morning. I am just so blessed. I would have liked to put up more pictures but I had to limit myself so here are just a few of the pictures from the evening.
